Assignment Blog 1

In the Beliot College Mindset List I feel the very first statement on the list is very true. I was taught how to write in cursive in third or fourth grade but don't exactly remember every single letter. We were never required to write in cursive on an everyday basis. Personally I dislike writing in cursive. Signing my name for my drivers license was the worst. I am pretty sure it took me about four or five times.
I also believe that the seventh one on the list is very true too. I am personally a Starbucks coffee kind of girl. I am not the type to drink straight black coffee,I like my frappucino's and cappuccino's, but I am not one who has to have coffee or caffeine to wake me up or keep me awake. I do think that our generation is one who is more likely to have a variety of coffee's, then say like my dad's who drinks the straight black coffee.
I don't necessarily think that number thirty-four is true. For my job back home I delivered medication to residents who were unable to get out of their house and the nursing homes. In Benton County Nursing Homes and Assisted Living were pretty much the same thing. Our Nursing Home and Assisted Living homes were in the same building. The only difference was that in the Assisted Living homes some residents were still able to take care of themselves but under a nurses watch.

  1. I disagree with your statement about writing in cursive. I dont write in cursive anymore and haven't since like 4th grade but I still remember how to do it and can if I really want to. I agree with what you said about coffee even tho I think coffee is pretty disgusting.

  2. I definitely don't write in cursive anymore either, but like Austin said, I could if I wanted to. But, it is true that people our age don't write in cursive anymore, but I can barely read my grandparents' writing in birthday cards anymore. So, I will stick to print! And, what you said about coffee is definitely true as well. I think that our society relies on caffeine way too much!

  3. I like your thinking on things. However, I must say I too disagree with the cursive thing. We just practiced it for so long, I could never forget.... And Starbucks all the way:)

  4. I agree with your statement about cursive writing. I know in my high school, our senior class had a day in english where we just went over cursive writing to refresh our minds.

  6. Yeah.. not so sure about the cursive thing. I know I'd have to take a minute to think about some letters, and I have slightly different cursive "style" than other people... but that iss not the same as not knowing it at all. As for the starbucks thing.. didn't grow up surrounded by it..

  7. I do agree with you that cursive is kind of a pain. On the other hand, I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but when I do drink it, I usually do milk or cream in black coffee just to knock a little of the bitterness off. I kinda inherited that from my dad.

  8. I agree with the cursive. I've just never had to use it much so therefore, I don't really remember it.
