Week of Twitter

I have had Facebook for quite some time now. I had Myspace, Xanga and any other social network you can think of. I had a Twitter at one point in time but deactivated my account because of the fact that I get so addicted to these social networks and will practically spend my whole day on them. Now having a Twitter account, where you can find me at http://twitter.com/#!/AmyMarie7, again may get my in trouble
Twitter has been a great way for me to follow some of my teachers and to also know what is going on in my hometown. It is nice to know how my brother’s football team is doing since I cannot go to every single game every Friday. Following my teachers on Twitter helps since a lot of them do not have a Facebook.
I defiantly think I will keep my Twitter account this time to keep up with the sports that my brother is involved in and to also keep up with people and businesses I am interested, even if I do spend half my day on it. It is a good way for me to get more involved in a conversation if and when I am in a interview with a certain company, and it will also put me a head of the other interviewers when I have more of an “interest” in what is exactly going on. Maybe being addicted to Twitter is not such a bad thing for people especially when you are using it in the perspective to get a head in the business world.

  1. It is strange that teachers don't have a Facebook account, but do, in fact, have a Twitter one... hmmmm...

  3. Its nice you were able to find a positive side to Twitter, instead of it being addicting. I never wanted to get a Twitter account because I thought it was pointless, but this class showed me it is a great networking tool! Glad you were able to see that too!

  5. I'm glad you were able to draw away that being "addicted" to twitter isn't such a bad thing, when you apply it correct.
P.S. Off topic, you spelled the word defiantly instead of definitely... that reminded me that my brother is an english teacher and he said that due to spellchecker, since defiantly comes before definitely when people misspell definitely he has a lot of students that think very defiantly about things.
